Rebecca Shauger was born in Ohio. She spent all of her childhood and then adult working life there. Rebecca started a career at Ohio Bell/SBC-Ameritech?AT&T as a draftswoman in 1974 and retired after 35 years. The last 19 years she spent as an Engineer.
Now retired Rebecca and her husband live in Hemphill to be close to her oldest daughter and 3 of her 5 grandchildren. Their other two daughters and grandchildren still live in Ohio.
While working and raising her children Rebecca met her creative needs by taking painting and pottery classes from various instructors at the Zanesville Art Center and Branch of Ohio University. In retirement in while living in St. Augustine Florida she has taken classes at Flaggler College in pottery. While living in Brookings OR she concentrated mostly in watercolors and continued with classes to improve her skills.
